A recent report from Crunchbase has it that Waiakea Water has announced a 5,000% growth in just three years since it was launched. The premium bottled water brand is founded on a triple platform that focuses on charitable initiatives, sustainability and health. In the recent past, the brand has distributed its product to about 2,000 stores in around 30 U.S. States. In celebration of this feat, the company is set to launch another manufacturing facility to be based in Hawaii in a bid to meet and satisfy the international demand that is growing.

The Founder’s Comments

Ryan Emmons, the founder of Waiakea Water stated that he was very proud of the achievements the brand has achieved within such a short time. He explained that the company had gone from moving a few thousand cases annually to over 120,000 cases annually.

Ryan added that he felt even better that due to the rapid increase, over 500 million liters of water were donated to communities in Africa who are underserved. In order to encourage more consumers to drink in an ethical manner, Waiakea has partnered with Pump Aid to donate over 650 liters of drinking water for each liter sold.

Waiakea water contributions to charity only make up a third of its success. The brand touts a mineral rich, naturally alkaline and electrolyte-packed product. The product is usually sourced from one of the most pure places in the planet and the packaging is done in recycled bottles (rPET).

Emmons stated that the secret behind Waiakea’s success was doing things in a different way for instance the brand was the first to be certified as CarbonNeutral of all premium bottled water. The brand makes people feel good in various levels by focusing on ethics, sustainability and health. The company is currently valued at over $10 million and is available in most premier chains and internationally.
