Kevin Seawright, a Businessman per Excellence

Kevin Seawright, a competent leader in the business world, worked in the government as the Deputy Operating Officer for six years. He was responsible for the public school system activities with over 80,000 students under his direct supervision.

Kevin won many accolades and was the recognized for integrating the systems operations within Baltimore’s CitiStats software. This program was meant to produce data to be used in evaluating the performance of the city departments. The results presented to the relevant authorities every two weeks would ensure that necessary action was taken.

In his outstanding career, Kevin Seawright, an alumnus of the Imelda University has won other awards in recognition of his innovativeness and community involvement and responsiveness. His quick thoughts and ability to think outside the norm made him the Met life recipient of the bridges of the future in 2010. The award recognized his ability to demonstrate progression through statistics and accountability standards.

The former member of the Notre Dame School of business also received an awarded by the very same college that he attended. The school recognized him as the Notre Dame Executive Leadership program winner. The appreciation was in respect to the excellent work that he had done with the community. His service was exemplary in serving the members of the community that he worked for. He dedicated his free time in coaching the youth from the society.

Kevin Seawright started his career as a financial analyst and human resource manager at the Tito General Contractors firm in 2011. He made changes in the management that saw the numbers of employee resignations significantly drop. In 2013, he moved to Maryland as the Executive director of operations before moving on to Newark Economic Development as the Chief Financial Officer. He has held this position since 2014 to date.

The working environments in all areas that Seawright has worked have drastically improved with proper compensations in place. Staff retentions have significantly remained high. The modes of recruitment have also improved, bringing about job efficiencies that have resulted in increased productivity and better service delivery.
